Carlton William Coss, 87

 


Carlton William Coss, 87, passed away August 30, 2012 at his home in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

Carl was born in Battle Creek, Mich. on May 29, 1925 to Carl and Mary Coss.

During WWII, Carl served in the western Pacific with the 96th Infantry – Dead Eye Division. Wounded in Okinawa, he received the Purple Heart. Carl graduated from Western Michigan. After graduation he moved to Tucson, Ariz. in 1958 to work for Hughes Aircraft. Carl retired in 1968. Carl and his wife Jan enjoyed many wonderful years as residents of Sonata, Ariz. and Wrangell and then finally Sierra Vista.

Carl is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Carl Jr. (Carol), Lawrence (Sherry), Connie (Jim) Craska, Karen (Joe) Hew, John (Jan) Boyd; and brothers Don of Michigan and Harold of New Hampshire.

Services were held in Fort Huachuca, Ariz. on September 6, 2012.
