Evan Paul (E.P.) Lloyd

Evan Paul (E.P.) Lloyd, 92, passed away on May 25, 2014 in Edmonds Wash.

He was born in Wrangell, Alaska on October 26, 1921, the son of Chester Henry Lloyd and Inez Mabel Binkley. In his youth he developed a passion for fishing, hunting and exploring the Alaskan wilderness. When called to serve his country, Evan joined a new Air Force command of patrol and crash rescue boats in the Aleutian Islands serving as Chief Engineer and Warrant Officer until his honorable discharge in 1945.

On January 19, 1946 he married his childhood sweetheart Arlene Olive Eddy Shain, "Rosebud", moved to the Seattle area and eventually to Everett where they launched their business Intercity Electric until their retirement to Camano Island. In 1999 his cherished Rosebud died. The following year, 2000, he married a dear family friend, Josephine, the second treasured and cherished woman in his life. They enjoyed many memorable travels together in Europe, Canada and the USA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William S. Lloyd and his wife Arlene.

He is survived by his wife Josephine Lloyd, his children, Judith Wright (Jerry), Robert Lloyd (Gail) and William Lloyd (JoDee), eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and his cherished extended family.

Friends are invited to join the family in a celebration of life at a reception at South County Senior Center on the Edmonds waterfront, June 22 at 1 pm.
