A group of 5th Grade students take part in one of several skits Friday morning at Evergreen Elementary, during a presentation on better digital citizenship. Fellow students were encouraged to be cordial, be respectful, and above all be safe while surfing or working online. The assembly was the school's first of the new school year, and similar community meetings are planned to be held the last Friday of every month. Principal Gail Taylor noted there will also be literacy nights in the school library, held 5:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month. Parents and community members interested in reading to students are invited to attend.
