Lady Wolves travel to Sitka

Darian Meissner returns a volley for Wrangell’s varsity team as they challenged the Sitka Lady Wolves on Friday, Oct. 14.
The Lady Wolves varsity volleyball team traveled to Sitka last weekend to face Baranof Island’s own version of the Lady Wolves while the JV team from Wrangell took part in the Sitka’s invitational tournament.
Sitka dominated both nights as they won easily in a 25-11, 25-17, 25-12 game on Friday, and again of Saturday with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.
Wrangell was hobbled out of the gate as starters Sasha Ashton and McKenna Harding did not travel with the team. On top of the holes created by their absence, junior Alyssa Allen came out of the game early on Friday with an ankle injur...
