Irva “Jean” Croston Kuntz, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2013.

Jean was born on July 28, 1921 in Seattle, Wash. the daughter of Irven and Helen Hynds.

Jean was a loving wife and wonderful mother who was always there for whomever needed her help. She was a hard worker, opinionated, had a great sense of humor and adored her family. She lived long, laughed hard and loved with all her heart.

She was raised in Seattle and moved to Issaquah in 1944. She was a butter wrapper for Alpine Creamery, now known as Darigold, and was a restaurant owner in Issaquah.

Jean married Joseph Kuntz Sr. later in life and called Wrangell home for many years. Her heart never left her Wrangell home.

Survivors include her daughter and son, Donna Kuntz-Fraker and Denny Croston; five grandchildren include Rhonda, Lori, Ty, Dennis and Cindy; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Her Wrangell family included Edward Kuntz, Donna and Joe Kuntz, Robert Kuntz and Dorothy (Kuntz) Gladsjo, Ty and Heidi Kuntz and Ernest and Rhonda Christian.

A private family gathering will be held.
