Mayor Name: Kipha Valvoda Age: 52 Occupation: Construction /janitor What background or experience do you have that qualifies you to be Wrangell’s Mayor? I have been on several committees in other communities, as well as the development and zoning here in Wrangell. I have also run a small construction contracting business, and understand how business needs to be done. Why are you running for Mayor? I believe in the system, and that it only works when good people become involved. The constitution was drafted by common folk, the current trend , is wrong. We the common people need to arise and take back this country one town at a time, all the way to the White House. If elected, what issues and concerns will you address? Financial accountability to the people, increase of jobs and tourism , and to ensure that the people of Wrangell have the last say in their collective future. Briefly state how you differ from your opponent on a major concern: I believe that I am passionate about individualism, and self determination without unnecessary emotion to cloud my judgment. I also have no allies, or people that I am beholding to, free from peer pressure. I also shall make myself available to the citizens to air their grievances on a scheduled date.
