Alexander Cano, 17, appeared before Wrangell Magistrate Chris Ellis on charges of Texting While Driving. The Defendant entered a guilty plea. He was sentenced to complete 24 hours of Community Work Service, ordered to pay $550 in fines and surcharges and placed on probation for one year.
