A chilly, but colorful respite

The northern sky turns to pinkish pastels at dusk above the Wrangell Post Office. The island received about 13 inches of snowfall between the evening of Feb. 4 and Monday. Coupled with strong winds and rough sea conditions late last week, the weather caused high school basketball games in Wrangell and Craig to be moved ahead by two days and affected turnout to Tent City Days events over the weekend.
