Members of Wrangell Municipal Light and Power steady the tree picked for this year's Christmas celebrations. Erected next to the Elks Lodge, this year's tree was harvested early Monday from Shoemaker Bay Harbor. Superintendent Clay Hammer estimated the tree to be a few feet shorter than average this year, but probably stands at least 40 feet. The tree is set to be lit during this weekend's Midnight Madness, Friday evening at 6 p.m.
