Sandy Churchill and Erin Andresen respectively received this year's "Teacher of the Year" and "Mother of the Year" awards from the Alaska Head Start Association. Churchill brought back the awards from the association's banquet in Anchorage. Both were warmly received last week at a local reception for Head Start parents, staff and students.
