This map indicates the area for timber harvests available to the Forest Service on Wrangell Island. A draft Record of Decision and final Environmental Impact Statement were released by the Tongass Forest supervisor's office last week. The alternative proposal favored by the supervisor would allow for 4,767 acres of land on the island to be harvested, yielding just under 57,000,000 board feet.
