It was a busy weekend at Muskeg Meadows, with two tournaments and a strong field of scramble teams competing for top honors.
The George and Joey Woodbury Tournament winners on Saturday, Aug. 15, were:
First-place team: Andrew Helgesen, Aaron Powell, Aaron Angerman and Cody Angerman; net 27.4 points.
Second place: Brett Woodbury, Scott Woodbury, Stuart Woodbury and Max Woodbury; 31.5.
Third place: Julie Williams, Eric Kading, Carter Hammer and LaDonna Botsford; 32.1.
Stuart Woodburg won Saturday’s accuracy contest, at 7 feet, 7 inches.
Saturday’s tournament was sponsored by BW Enterprises, in remembrance of George and Joey Woodbury, long-time supporters of Muskeg Meadows.
Sunday’s winners in the KSTK Golf Tournament, sponsored by AP&T, were:
First-place team: Franki Gablehouse, Julie Williams, Karl Altapeter and Graham Gablehouse; net score of 29.8.
Second place: Daniel Harrison, Rob Marshall, Guy Kalkins and Cody Angerman; 30.4.
Third place: Jeff Good, Chase Good, Frank Roppel and Xiao Roppel; 32.9.
Wayne Ellis won the individual title in the accuracy drive competition, at 5 feet, 11½ inches.
Julie Williams won top honors for closest to the hole at 16 feet, 6½ inches.
There is no tournament this weekend, Aug. 22-23. The golf course will be open for golf and disc golf. The next event at Muskeg Meadows will be the Valley Electric Tournament Aug. 29-30, followed by Captain’s Coffee on Sept. 5.
