Double-parked in Sitka
A derelict boat was blown up and away at Eliason Harbor in front of Sitka on Feb. 16, finding safe moorage atop another derelict boat that has long been partially submerged and also tied up at the same piling near the harbor. High winds — gusting over 40 mph — and a changing tide caused the two-boat pileup. The boats had parted ways by the end of the week, both still partially submerged.
