Carolyn Rae “Cari” Hampton, daughter of John and Dona Campbell, passed away peacefully on Aug. 30, 1925, at her home in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Cari was born in Portland, Oregon, on April 17, 1948. In 1960, the family of six moved to Wrangell where they quickly settled in and where Cari made many lifelong friends.

She graduated from Wrangell High School in 1966 and was active in many extracurricular activities throughout those fun-filled years. She settled in the San Francisco Bay Area and lived in California for many years, and it was there that she met her husband of almost 40 years, James Robert “Rob” Hampton.

They lived and entertained in Napa, California, for many years before retiring to Wilsonville, Oregon, to be closer to family. When Cari wasn’t leading the nation in sales for publisher McGraw Hill, she could be found playing with her two little terriers, Buffy and Cassie.

Cari was preceded in death by her dad John, mother Dona and brother Craig.

She is survived by her husband Rob, and siblings Jon, Jane and Jim Campbell. She also leaves behind loving nephews David, Jon, Jim and Andy, and nieces Lisa and Emily, as well as many grandnieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of her life in Wilsonville, Oregon, with arrangements to be announced.
