SEARHC nurses talk first aid with kids
The Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Crew for kids 8 to 12 years old celebrated Heroes Week last week. They gathered at the community center on July 8 for a first aid lesson from SEARHC nurses Moira Fish (above) and Nikki Benedict, who showed the children how to make a 911 call, how to care for burns, clean and treat big and small cuts and what bandages to use for different parts of the body. The Summer Crew program runs through Aug. 14 and is fully booked.
