No need to wait until Wednesday to learn what’s new in the Sentinel each week.
The Sentinel starting this week is sending out a free, weekly email newsletter every Tuesday morning, letting people know what’s coming in that week’s newspaper.
There will be no advertising in the newsletter, just brief summaries of the top stories of interest to the community.
The newsletter will automatically go out to all Sentinel subscribers — print and online — who have their email address on file with the Sentinel.
Anyone else who wants to keep up on the news can go to the Sentinel website, wrangellsentinel.com, and click on the button in the top right that says: “Click here for the free Sentinel newsletter.” When the sign-up screen comes up, just type in an email address.
Then watch your email on Tuesdays for the coming news.
“We want to reach out to as many people as we can to let them know what’s in the Sentinel, hoping that they will want to read more of the news online or pick up a printed copy at the store each week,” said Larry Persily, publisher.
“We figure the free newsletter is the fastest and easiest way to reach more people every week.”
The Sentinel may in the future start sending out a second weekly email to share news with the community on a more frequent basis.
