Dental clinic moving to new location, introduces dentist

Alaska Island Community Services welcomes Pam and Dr. Charles Haubrich to Wrangell. The couple arrived full-time in October, with Pam taken on as a consultant and Charles joining as the clinic's new dentist.

Alaska Island Community Services announced last week the addition of a new dentist to its staff, Dr. Charles Haubrich.

"That's a huge enhancement to continuity of care," explained Terry Wagner, CHC operations manager for AICS. Previously Wrangell's dental office used locums, or specialists hired on a temporary basis.

Haubrich has over 20 years' dentistry experience, skilled in restorative, crown and bridge, dentures and endodontic work. After operating his own practice in Ferndale, Wash., for 17 years, Haubrich said he's tired of the business management end and wanted a change.
