Alaska Island Community Services announces Denise McPherson will be its newest medical practitioner. She is an advanced nurse practitioner specializing in family practice and will be providing a new same-day clinic in Wrangell.

McPherson moved to Wrangell in April 2014, serving as the hospital’s nursing director. She completed her masters of science in nursing in 2012, and has been a registered nurse since 2009.
