Clockwise from back left, Wrangell High School seniors HaiLie Davis, Alex Angerman, Makena Hammer and Grace Cano start off the new year by taking part in Wrangell Medical Centers Certified Nurse Assistant course. The year-long course will earn the students nine college course credits in exchange for 60 hours classroom instruction and 80 hours of skills and clinical experience. A second, abbreviated CNA course geared toward adults will also be offered this fall, both with the intention of cultivating local staff for the hospital.
