October 19, 1916: F.M. Fenton, manager of the Dease Creek Syndicate, arrived on the Iskoot last Thursday afternoon. The Dease Creek Syndicate, which is controlled by Victoria capitalists, has been for several years operating an hydraulic mining on Thibert Creek, which empties into Dease Lake about six miles below the mines.
