Wrangell high school’s volleyball team played in Juneau against various 3A and 4A high schools last weekend. All the participating teams were divided into two brackets, gold and silver. Wrangell took second place in the silver bracket. Coach Jessica Whitaker called the tournament a confidence booster for her team, as they played against several schools that were larger and more experienced than them.

“It went fairly well for us,” she said. “We played against bigger schools than us, it was a very good learning experience.”
