Manuel Cunha Da Lima raises a pirarucu fish at a lake in the Amazonia State of Brazil, on Sept. 5. Pirarucu can grow to nearly 10 feet in length, and Indigenous communities working together with non-Indigenous settlers manage the pirarucu in preserved areas of the Amazon, harvesting the fish for food and, in a recent development, to make fish leather.
