Photos from: Malaspina Glacier more susceptible to melting, adding to rising sea level

National Park Service

Malaspina Glacier, the world's largest piedmont glacier, is seen in 2011. The glacier is located primarily in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. More precise measurements using radar have mapped out the glacier's size and provide information about potential for contributions to global sea-level rise.
