Mrs. Wilson’s first grade class traditions

Niclolas Allen: Me and my dad go out to Pat’s Lake. We do burnouts on our four-wheelers at Christmas time. They are metal and they get stuck in the mud and ice really easily.

Killian Booker: I love Christmas because it’s a holiday. I get presents. We get to eat the candy canes off the Christmas tree after Christmas.

Serina Thomas: I like to go sledding down hill with my brother, William. We go snowmobiling after sledding.

Grace Simpson: We decorate our tree together every Christmas. I love to put the angel on the tree each year.

Jonni Larrson: At Christmas time every year, we drink cocoa on the really cold days when we don’t have firewood. Sometimes we pack firewood to stay warm. We decorate our tree, and we put a little train track with a train around our Christmas tree. It can go around the Christmas tree on the track. Sometimes we go over to Grace’s house and sled down the hill with all her neighbors. We have lots of fun. When we go inside, we have ice cream cones and we play “Giant Dog.” We always have fun at Christmas!

Jayden Buhler: I go outside and play “Snowball Fight.” I like going sledding with my family.

Randy Churchill: On Christmas Eve, my mom, my dad, and sister have snowball fights and I have a snowball gun. All my family play against me. I win every time, because I have a snowball gun.

Steven Bales: We always make snowmen that look like us at Christmas time. After that, we have a snowball fight.

Kyle Hommel: At Christmas time, I love to go snowmobiling with my family with a sled tied to the back of the snowmobile. I like to plow snow with our snowmobile.

Matthew McIntire: I love to go ice skating with my family at Christmas time. My family and I go sledding also. Me and my cousin have a snowball fight. I have fun doing that.

Nikolai Siekawitch: I always wake up at six o’clock on Christmas morning. I go and wake up my parents. Sometimes they like that and sometimes they don’t if I wake them up at five o’clock when they are still sleeping. I open presents with my mom and my dad. When it’s light outside, I play snowball fights with my mom. I feel happy that we are getting closer to Christmas!

Ethan Blatchley: My family and I like to have snowball wars. We open presents. We also have pancakes every Christmas morning and we put A LOT of peanut butter on them. They taste super good!

Carter Hammer: We go snowmobiling as a family at Christmas time. I love to go fishing with my family. I caught a BIG one!

Jacen Hay: I like to go out with Mom and Dad and Kayla to go sledding on the giant hill by the school. We have little round sleds that spin. We have a giant green sled that 4 kids can fit into. Sometimes I hide from Kayla and throw a snowball at her.

Mrs. Wilson’s First Grade Class would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May your family traditions always be happy and memorable!
