Kyle Clayton, 28, has joined the Petersburg Pilot and Wrangell Sentinel as staff reporter, residing in Petersburg.

He arrived last week from Bethel, Alaska.

Prior to that he was a reporter, producer and anchor for WFIU/WTIU in Bloomington, Ind.

From 2003 to 2007 he served as a combat medic for the United States Army where he was deployed to Germany, Kuwait and Iraq.

In June 2013 he received his B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University in Bloomington and was named to the Dean’s List.
