Imagine!

Christmas! What images come to your mind when you think about it? Christmas trees, mistletoe, gifts, snow,

shopping, or family? Maybe you think of shepherds, an angel choir, wise men, a stable, or a pregnant mother on a

donkey? We all enjoy the first list of things I mentioned. It seems that the whole world has jumped on that band wagon. How many of us really focus our attention on the second list and what Christmas is really all about?

Most of the world has rejected the belief in moral absolutes or sin. “If it feels good, do it,” they say. It

doesn’t matter if someone gets hurt in the process. Taking care of number one is all that most think about. Many are

oblivious to the great lengths God had to go to in order to save us from the sin they claim doesn’t exist. They love the holiday in His honor but give no thought to honoring Him.

Jesus came as a baby while angels sang to shepherds. He was wrapped in a cloth, rode a donkey, had no place to call His own, and died with a crown of thorns on his head, a servant king. Imagine what it will be like when He comes the second time? (Acts 1:9, John 14;1-3) He will come in glory (Matt. 25;31), lightning flashing (Matt. 24:27), with great sounds of trumpets (Matt. 24:31), dead people rising up out of their graves (Rev. 4:16,17), will be riding on a royal white horse with a king’s crown on His head (Rev. 6:2), a victorious King of Kings!

You think we have lots to celebrate now, just wait!
