Monday, November 17

Michael Maleski appeared before First District Judge Kevin Miller on charges of Petition to Revoke Probation. After a hearing, the court found the defendant violated conditions of his probation and were modified as follows: he was ordered to pay the suspended $100 jail surcharge, ordered to pay the $1500 of suspended fine and all other terms and conditions of probation in the original judgment remain in effect.

Tuesday, November 18

Troy Winchester appeared in court and pled guilty for Hunting Seasons and Bag Limits for Moose. He was ordered to pay $310 in fines and police training surcharges.

Shannon Booker appeared before First District Judge Kevin Miller on charges of Licensee Sell Alcohol to Minor. The defendant entered a guilty plea. The court sentenced the defendant to pay $300 in fines and surcharges, 40 hours of community work service and one-year probation.

Monday, November 24

David Saunders appeared before First District Judge Kevin Miller on charges of two counts of Alcohol Restricted – In licensed Areas, Controlled Substance in the 6th Degree Use/Display Any Amount and Violating Conditions of Release. The defendant entered a guilty plea. The court sentenced the defendant to 200 days in jail with 100 days suspended, to contact Alaska Island Community Services upon his release from jail for an Alcohol/Substance Abuse Evaluation and to comply with recommendations, placed on probation for three years and ordered to pay $1600 in fines and surcharges.

Tuesday, November 25

Donavan Bean appeared before Magistrate Chris Ellis on charges of Minor Consuming/Possessing Alcohol and Furnishing Alcohol to Person Under 21. The defendant entered a guilty plea. The court sentenced the defendant to 100 days in jail with 85 suspended, was ordered to complete the treatment recommended by an Alcohol Safety Action Program, placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay $1110 in fines and surcharges with $550 suspended. The state dropped charges of two counts of Furnishing Alcohol to Persons Under 21 and Purchase from Nonlicensee.

Lynn Allen appeared before Magistrate Chris Ellis on charges of Licensee Furnish/Deliver Alcohol to Minor. The defendant entered a guilty plea. The court sentenced the defendant to one-year probation and ordered her to pay $550 in fines and surcharges.

Chris Martin appeared before Magistrate Chris Ellis on charges of Driving with License Cancelled/Suspended/Revoked/Limited. The defendant entered a no contest plea and he was found and adjudged guilty. The court sentenced the defendant to 30 days in jail with 20 suspended, he was ordered to pay $700 in fines and surcharges with $600 suspended, his driver’s license and/or privileges were revoked for 90 days and he was placed on probation for one-year.

Larry Aitken appeared before First District Judge Kevin Miller on charges of two counts of Disorderly Conduct – Challenge to Fight and Resist/Interfere Arrest – By Force. The defendant entered a guilty plea. The court sentenced the defendant to serve 380 days in jail with 180 days suspended, to contact Alaska Island Community Services upon his release from jail for Alcohol/Substance Abuse evaluation and comply with recommendations, ordered to pay $300 in fines and surcharges with $100 suspended and placed on probation for five years.
