On Monday Cyni Waddington resumed her role as executive director at the Wrangell Chamber of Commerce office.

The Chamber board made the decision to invite back Waddington, who had spent the past two quarters working with the school district's technology department. She had previously managed the Chamber's operations for three years, which includes organizing annual events, tax free days, visitor services and the birthday calendar fundraiser.

"I know we're excited to be back on track," commented Tracy Churchill, a director on the board.

An experienced director, Waddington will prepare the Chamber office for

its 2016 schedule. As a first order of business, she said she will be updating

their website for the new year.

Her largest upcoming project will be working on a new member map, which primarily serves as a directory of Chamber-affiliated businesses and services for visitors. Otherwise, preparations will be undertaken for the Chamber's annual fundraising dinner slated for April 9, and for the annual King Salmon Derby from May 14 through June 12.
