ROUND-TABLE MENTAL HEALTH DISCUSSION 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at the Nolan Center. Visiting speaker Krizz Kaliko and Wrangell elders will be discussing mental health. Presented by the Wrangell Cooperative Association’s Bouncing Back program; open to the public.

STAR OF BENGAL DIVE TEAM PRESENTATION 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Nolan Center. The team has been diving on the 1908 wreckage in Southeast waters, and will present on what they have learned. Sponsored by Friends of the Museum. Appetizers will be provided; the public is asked to bring a dish to share.

LUMBER-GRADING TRAINING 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wendesday, June 4, at the Nolan Center classroom. Hands-on training provides practical skills and certification for grading local-use dimensional lumber. MUSKEG MEADOWS Stikine Sportsmen Association nine-hole, best-ball golf tournament Friday, June 6; Greg Scheff Memorial / R&M Ketchikan 18-hole tournament Saturday, June 7; and nine-hole, best-ball Sunday, June 8. Tournament play starts at 10 a.m., register by 9:30 a.m.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM FOR KIDS at the Irene Ingle Public Library now open for registration. Open to children entering kindergarten through ninth grade in the fall. Register at the library. The reading program runs May 27 through Aug. 2. More than 100 prize drawings and a pool/pizza party for everyone who completes the program. Call 907-874-3535 for more information.

SKATER TOTS 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays at the TouchPoint Ministries rink on Bennett Street. Children 0-10 years old. Scooters, flat board, skates for novice beginning skaters, separate play area, toys and tumbling mats for infants. Parents/guardians must stay to supervise. Free.

ROLL ON THE ROCK roller skating 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays at the TouchPoint Ministries rink on Bennett Street. Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult. $5 per person.

AA MEETINGS: North Star Group meets from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays, St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.

WRANGELL PARKS and RECREATION http://www.wrangellrec.com or call 907-874-2444. All the facilities are closed for annual maintenance. The weight room, cardio equipment, locker room, community center are tentatively set to open at the end of May. The pool is tentatively to open at the end of July.
