Hailey Cook and Clara Edens display some of the produce grown by students of Evergreen Elementary School on Oct. 6. The school's garden is community supported and maintained by students who also get to learn a bit about horticulture and biology with lessons that incorporate the science curriculum. The kids also get to practice a bit of teamwork and enjoy the fruits of it at the annual harvest meal made from the products of their labor.
