Fire alarm at Wrangell Medical Center

Members of the Wrangell Fire Department responding to an alarm at the Wrangell Medical Center Wednesday morning, Aug. 5.

At approximately 10:35 a.m. last Wednesday, Aug. 5, the Wrangell Volunteer Fire Department was alerted to a fire alarm at the Wrangell Medical Center. Firefighters and EMS responded to the call within minutes, while hospital staff and patients waited outside. Upon investigation, it was determined that there was no danger. The fire department was unable to determine what caused the fire alarm to go off, however.
