The Wrangell Cooperative Association held its 2020 election Tuesday, Nov. 10. Tribal Administrator Esther Reese explained that members of the WCA tribal council hold two-year terms, and every two years half of the board opens up for election. There were six candidates on the ballot this year: Incumbent Lovey Brock, Sam Campus, Jason Clark, Incumbent Frank Churchill, Incumbent D.J. McConachie, and Ed Rilatos. "Turnout, so far, is great," Reese said, manning the polling location at the WCA carving shed on election day. Pictured here are Chris Jenkins and Betsy McConachie, having just voted. The Wrangell Sentinel will report on election results in the following edition.
