Bill Churchill dies at 88

 


William I. “Bill” Churchill Sr. died July 8 at the Wrangell Medical Center.

The lifelong Wrangell resident was 88 years old. He had worked as a tugboat captain, and was well known for his carving and Native artwork.

A memorial service is planned for Aug. 14 in Wrangell.
