The event, which was sponsored by the high school class of 2025, featured snacks and carnival games, and coincided with a 1-mile dash, 5K, 10K and half-marathon sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department. Alaska Day commemorates the formal transfer of Alaska from Russia to the United States in 1867.
