Little League opener Saturday; volunteers still needed

It’s almost time for more than 100 Little Leaguers to start their session, with the opening ceremony set for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Volunteer Park.
And while the kids are getting ready, league officials still need volunteers for the twice-a-week games.
The season will run through the second week of June, and volunteers can sign on for as few or as many games as they want, said Briana Schilling, who is in her eighth year as league president.
