New travel guide now available in town and online

The 2025-2026 Wrangell Travel Guide, a joint project of the Sentinel and the borough’s Economic Development Department, is now available around town.

The 52-page, full-color booklet features as its cover photo a brown bear family walking along, minding their own business at the Anan Wildlife Observatory, continuing the annual guide’s theme of showcasing the bear observatory as a prime attraction for visitors to Wrangell.

The updated guide includes stories, maps and suggestions for visitors, including a full-page table listing boat charters available in town for sightseeing, river trips and fishing.

The free booklet is available at stores around town, at hotels and bed and breakfasts, at the Nolan Center, City Hall and the Sentinel office.

It’s also available online at wrangellsentinel.com and at the borough’s travelwrangell.com website.

A new feature this year for the online edition allows readers to click on any of the ads in the guide and go directly to that business’s website or Facebook page.
