About a dozen people watch as the first boat is lifted out of Silver Bay at Sitka's new haul-out facility in the Gary Paxton Industrial Park on May 15. Sitka fisherman Eric Jordan was eager to have his troller - named the I Gotta - be the first one to use the facility that was funded mostly with money from Sitka's sale of the old community hospital property to SEARHC. Sitka's new haul-out could present some competition for Wrangell's Marine Service Center.
